"O Livro da Sede” constitui uma experiência imersiva composta por cinco filmes analógicos. Mariana Caló (Viana do Castelo, 1984) e Francisco Queimadela (Coimbra, 1985) sublinham aqui o tema principal do seu trabalho: as manifestações, a perceção e as interpretações da passagem do tempo. Imagens mostrando pessoas a saciar a sede, animais enjaulados e manifestações culturais ancestrais transformam esta instalação num autêntico estudo antropológico, em que a sede é associada a instintos vitais e à liberdade. 

‘The Book of Thirst’ consists of five analogue films. Mariana Caló (Viana do Castelo, 1984) and Francisco Queimadela (Coimbra, 1985) reinforce in this installation the main theme of their work: the perception, manifestations and interpretations of the passage of time. Images of several people quenching their thirst, caged animals and examples of ancestral cultural manifestations that still exist in remote isolated parts of Portugal, transform this installation into a genuine anthropological study, in which thirst is associated with vital instincts and freedom.
