<span style="font-size:13px">Pensei este trabalho em torno de questões de publicidade, de propaganda, de falso, de ficção, de invasão e de uma exaustão pessoal em torno da imagem. Pretendia algo mais matérico, meio Hirschhorn de fita-cola castanha e/ou cartão a sair dos mupis pelo tecto acima, ou colocar terra e sementes e um processo de rega para que crescessem plantas durante a exposição, ou que um pedaço de carne de tamanho considerável fosse apodrecendo noutro dos quadros; pensei numa espécie de espelho reflexo com peruca de palhaço e a cara seria a de cada um de nós; um osso pendurado como metáfora do poema de Alexandre O’Neill, ou uma coluna de som com um texto gravado… sobrou a pedra, o osso e um outro texto. A pedra que poderá servir como símbolo de uma <span style="background-color:#000000"> </span>, o osso / auto-retrato e o texto que descreve o lugar da coluna de som e um excerto do poema Idea da Beleza de Olga Novo que refere a efemeridade e a intensidade do sexo… <br>
….saímos não sabemos para onde com a certeza de que o belo não é fugaz, perdura num tempo próprio de contemplação e amadurecimento.</span><br>

Susana Chiocca <br>
Desde 1999 que tem participado em diversas exposições, eventos e workshops. e programado sobretudo na área da performance como o espaço a Sala (criado com António Lago, 2006-2010), a exposição O Dizer do Corpo (Espaço Ilimitado, 2010) os eventos Acesso de Vertigem #1 e #2 (Maus Hábitos 2018-2019).<br>
A sua prática artística explora o desenho, a instalação, o vídeo, o som, a fotografia e a performance. <br>
Desde 2005 tem desenvolvido diversos projectos performativos em torno do texto, cruzando a performance, o vídeo e a música, como o projecto BITCHO (2012…) ou Balla Prop junto com Ana Ulisses (2007-2011).<br>
Trabalha de uma forma intuitiva o momento e a actualidade político-social, procurando imprimir e relacionar os vários acontecimentos, absorvendo a partir do outro, e devolvendo-lhe as suas reflexões, sonoridades e imagética.</span><br>

Scents of time<br>
I thought this work around questions of advertising, of propaganda, of fake, of fiction, of invasion and a personal exhaustion around the image. I wanted something more material, half Hischhorn of brown tape and/or cardboard coming out of the mupis through the ceiling, or to put soil and seeds and a watering process so that plants would grow during the exhibition, or that a sizeable piece of meat would rot in another of the frames; I thought of a kind of mirror reflection with a clown wig and the face would be that of each one of us; a bone hanging as a metaphor for Alexandre O'Neill's poem, or a speaker with a text engraved on it... what was left was the stone, the bone and another text. The stone that could serve as a symbol of a <span style="background-color:#000000"> </span>, the bone / self-portrait and the text describing the place of the speaker and an excerpt from the poem Idea of Beauty by Olga Novo that refers to the ephemerality and intensity of sex…<br>
… we leave we do not know where with the certainty that beauty is not a fugacious thing, it lasts in a time proper to contemplation and maturation.</em></span><br>

Susana Chiocca<br>
