A exposição reúne quatro filmes que abordam o Cosmismo Russo através de dispositivos cinematográficos e o tratamento de temas relacionados com a biopolítica, o universalismo, a utopia, a revolução e a museologia. O Cosmismo Russo é uma constelação de teorias e projetos – filosóficos, artísticos, científicos – baseados no pensamento do filósofo russo Nikolai Fedorov (1829-1903). Os filmes formam “tableaux vivants” situados entre facto e ficção, realidade e alteridade, poética e ideologia.<p dir="ltr" style="margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px; color: rgb(32, 32, 32); font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;" class="">O Cosmismo Russo congrega discursos do marxismo, do cristianismo ortodoxo russo, do Iluminismo e da filosofia oriental. Além disso, postula conceções de imortalidade tecnológica, ressurreição e viagens espaciais, especulando acerca da sua eventual materialização por meios artísticos, sociais e científicos. Este movimento atraiu aqueles que procuravam uma sociedade sem classes, o desenvolvimento das viagens espaciais e técnicas de preservação imortal após a Revolução de Outubro de 1917.<br class=""><br class="">Os filmes combinam narração em voz off, bandas sonoras (partituras originais e som ambiente), diálogos, citações de ensaios de Fedorov e de outros pensadores, e referências intelectuais e estéticas que vão do construtivismo russo à ficção científica, de reflexões históricas sobre a morte e imortalidade a interações especulativas entre fenómenos naturais e transformações sociais. Foram realizados em múltiplas localidades, entre as quais Moscovo, Sibéria, Almaty e Karagandy no Cazaquistão, e Tóquio, e incluem cenários como paisagens desertas, antigos locais industriais e, em Moscovo, o Museu Zoológico e a Biblioteca de Lenine. O filme apresenta uma comunidade imaginada articulando as ambições do Biocosmismo – imortalidade, ressurreição tecnológica e interplanetarismo – através do potencial regenerativo e transformador da transfusão de sangue.<br class=""><br class="">Os filmes mostram como o Cosmismo russo visava superar a finitude do espaço-tempo através de esforços criativos e cooperativos com vista a um universalismo “mais do que humano”.
