<strong><a href="http://www.inresidenceporto.pt/" style="color:#656565;font-weight:normal;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">InResidence</a></strong>, o programa integrado ao projeto <strong><a href="https://www.sacoazul.org/detail-projetos/caravana/" style="color:#656565;font-weight:normal;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">CARAVANA</a></strong> que é dedicado a residências artísticas da Saco Azul Associação Cultural & do Maus Hábitos, recebe entre os meses de outubro e novembro Lyz Parayzo, para desenvolver o projeto “Cuir Popcreto”. <br>
<br>
A artista brasileira, radicada em Paris, multidisciplinar, trabalha com audiovisual, joalheria, escultura e performance. Estudou teatro na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e formou-se como artista visual na Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage. Atualmente é mestranda em artes plásticas na École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris. <br>

Entre exposições coletivas, o trabalho de Lyz Parayzo já passou pela América Latina e Europa: Histórias Feministas & Histórias da Sexualidade (MASP), Prêmio EDP (Instituto Tomie Ohtake) – São Paulo; Mulheres do acervo do MAR – Rio de Janeiro; Estratégias do Feminino (Farol Santander) – Porto Alegre; Anuário (Galeria Municipal do Porto), Adorno Político (Espaço Maus Hábitos); Tropical (Porto Rico), "Demain sera un autre jour" (Paris). A artista teve seu trabalho exposto em individuais na Galeria Vila Aymoré (Rio de Janeiro) e na galeria Espace L (Genebra). <br>

Lyz Parayzo está a desenvolver o projeto intitulado “Cuir Popcreto” que reúne o conceito de cuir, termo utilizado na América Latina, em especial no Brasil, para designar pessoas que não têm uma perfomatividade de gênero dentro de uma lógica binária heteronormativa, ao termo popcreto que nomeia a fase pop da poética do artista italiano Waldemar Cordeiro radicado no Brasil. Como parte do processo de criação, a artista dá continuidade a sua série de objectos de autodefesa, em metal, que “citam plasticamente uma estética concretista e fundamentada em conceitos como gestalt, corte e dobra”, mas desta vez mais atraída a explorar a composição nos espaços arquitetónicos e de modo muito mais experimental.<br>

Face a estas referências e interessada em tratar do recente fenómeno de emancipação dos corpos dissidentes sexuais e de género no campo das artes visuais enquanto sujeitos de suas próprias subjetividades, Lyz Parayzo faz a si própria perguntas que explorará durante este processo criativo na cidade do Porto: “Quais são as táticas necessárias a serem adotadas por corpos que até tão pouco tempo ainda eram tratades apenas como objetos dentro dos espaços institucionais? Quais são as referências de representatividade para artistas não brancos e não (cis-hétero) normativos? Se elas existem, quais delas são as que não reproduzem uma lógica colonial da violência?” <br>

O resultado desta residência ficará em exposição em dois sítios da cidade do Porto: a oficina do Maus Hábitos recebe um site specific da artista, enquanto o espaço A leste, recebe mostra com os demais trabalhos criados durante o processo de imersão de Parayzo. <br>

InResidence, program integrated in the CARAVANA project dedicated to artistic residencies of Saco Azul Associação Cultural & Maus Hábitos, receives between October and November Lyz Parayzo, to develop the project “Cuir Popcreto”.<br>

Lyz Parayzo is developing the project entitled “Cuir Popcreto” that brings together the concept of cuir, a term used in Latin America, especially in Brazil, to designate people who do not have a gender perfomativity within a heteronormative binary logic, to the term popcreto which names the pop phase of the poetry of the Italian artist Waldemar Cordeiro living in Brazil. As part of the creation process, the artist continues her series of self-defense objects, in metal, which “plastically cite a concrete aesthetic and based on concepts such as gestalt, cutting and folding”, but this time more attracted to explore the composition in architectural spaces and in a much more experimental way.<br>

In view of these references and interested in dealing with the recent phenomenon of emancipation of sexual and gender dissident bodies in the field of visual arts as subjects of their own subjectivities, Lyz Parayzo asks herself questions that she will explore during this creative process in the city of Porto: “What are the necessary tactics to be adopted by bodies that until recently were treated only as objects within institutional spaces? What are the references of representativeness for non-white and non-normative (cis-straight) artists? If they exist, which ones do not reproduce a colonial logic of violence? ”<br>

The result of this residency will be on display at two sites in the city of Porto: the Maus Hábitos workshop receives a specific site from the artist, while the studio A Leste receives a show with the other works created during the Parayzo immersion process.</em><br>
