<span style="font-size:13px">Museu da Gentrificação é um processo dialógico que lida com as estratégias discursivas praticadas pelas instituições que participam na constituição deste fenómeno. É uma estrutura para imaginação colectiva.<br>
A gentrificação ocorre num determinado tempo histórico e no seu desenrolar vários mitos surgem para dar consistência social à violência implícita neste conjunto de processos. O papel deste museu é dar um abanão nesta carga mitológica. Quando institucionalizamos os mitos não estamos apenas a constatar aquilo que está acontecer ou a tentar perceber como aqui chegamos, mas também pomos em movimento alguns mecanismos discursivos que nos permitem interagir com certos aspectos da realidade. E a realidade de gentrificação é cheia de manhas. Não é por acaso que é tão difícil de lidar com ela. A maioria das pessoas é confrontada com este fenómeno de forma individual, em geral quando pouco ou nada se pode fazer e a procura de um novo sítio para viver torna-se a única opção.<br>
Para a exposição na Mupi Gallery foram encomendados três cartazes para o Museu da Gentrificação.</span><br>

Nikolai Nekh (1985, Slavhansk-na-Kubani) vive e trabalha em Lisboa. A sua prática artística consiste na produção e distribuição de imagens que surgem das trajectórias do capitalismo e das suas formas de representação.</span><br>

Museum of Gentrification is a dialogical process which deals with discursive strategies practiced by institutions involved in constitution of this phenomenon. It is a framework for collective imagination.<br>
Gentrification occurs in a certain historical time and within its development several myths arise so as to give social consistency to the violence implicit in this set of processes. The role of this museum is to shake off this mythological burden. When we institutionalize the myths we are not only verifying what is going on or trying to understand how we arrived here, but also we set in motion certain kind of discursive mechanism that allows us to interact with certain aspects of reality. And the reality of gentrification is a tricky one. It is not by chance that the phenomenon of gentrification is so difficult to deal with. Most people are confronted with it individually, in most cases when little or nothing can be done and the search for a new place to live becomes the only option.<br>
For the exhibition at Mupi Gallery three posters were commissioned for the Museum of Gentrification. <br>
