<strong>da serra e da terra</strong> propõe um conjunto de obras de cinco artistas de diferentes geografias portuguesas. É a partir da Serra que a pulsão da terra ganha peso nas suas explorações artísticas, em práticas que assentam numa experiência vivenciada das matérias do rural. <br>
As obras a apresentar são realizadas sob impulso também telúrico, seja por percursos e pesquisas da matéria, pelo uso da terra em cerâmicas, pela observação íntima dos gestos da fogueira ou pela vivência diária na Serra, onde arte e vida se cruzam. <br>
Filme, texto, cerâmica, escultura em madeira e desenho, juntam-se neste projeto, com desenho expositivo realizado pelos curadores - também eles artistas.<br>

Sobre os curadores: <br>
Daniel Moreira e Rita Castro Neves<br>
Artistas que vivem e trabalham no Porto, com percursos expositivos separados, trabalham desde 2015 em colaboração. Daniel Moreira é arquitecto, iniciando em 2000 um percurso multidisciplinar entre a arquitectura e as artes plásticas. Rita Castro Neves, após terminar o Curso Avançado de Fotografia do Ar.Co e o Master in Fine Art da Slade School of Fine Art de Londres, inicia atividade artística regular, de docência (atualmente na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto) e de curadoria.<br>
Desde que em 2015 foram desafiados pelo espaço artístico finlandês Oksasenkatu 11 a realizar um projeto colaborativo, que têm exposto regularmente em Portugal e no estrangeiro. As residências artísticas (São Paulo, Maputo, Alvito, Serra da Estrela...) e viagens de estudo (Japão com Bolsa da Fundação Oriente) têm sido importantes para o desenvolvimento do seu corpo de trabalho.<br>

“da serra e da terra” proposes a set of works by five artists from different Portuguese geographies. It is from the mountain that the drive of the land gains weight in their artistic explorations, in practices that are based on an experience lived from the rural materials.<br>
The works presented are carried out under a telluric impulse, either through routes and research on the matter, through the use of clay in ceramics, through intimate observation of the fire's gestures or through daily experience in the mountain, where art and life intersect.<br>
Film, text, ceramic, wood carving and drawing come together in this project, with an exhibition design carried out by the curators – also artists.<br>

About the curators:<br>
Daniel Moreira and Rita Castro Neves are artists who live and work in Porto, with separate exhibition paths, who have been collaborating since 2015. Daniel Moreira is an architect, starting in 2000 a multidisciplinary path between architecture and visual arts. Rita Castro Neves, after finishing the Advanced Course in Photography at Ar.Co and the Master in Fine Art of the Slade School of Fine Art in London, started a regular artistic activity, teaching (currently at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto) and curating.</em><br>
<em>Since they were challenged in 2015 by the Finnish artistic space Oksasenkatu 11 to carry out a collaborative project, they have regularly exhibited in Portugal and abroad. Artistic residences (São Paulo, Maputo, Alvito, Serra da Estrela...) and study trips (Japan with Fundação Oriente scholarship) have been important for the development of their body of work.</em><br>
