“Fãs retoma um conjunto de imagens recolhidas em 2010 para um projeto editorial que nunca chegou a concretizar-se, materializando-se agora sob a forma de impressões fotográficas retroiluminadas. Ao conjunto de imagens original juntam-se nesta fase algumas outras, sendo a partir deste novo conjunto que selecionamos aquelas que consideramos melhor, tendo em conta o dispositivo de apresentação. <br>
As leituras poderão ser várias e não lhe queremos acrescentar ou retirar possibilidades, assim, referimos apenas a mais óbvia, um hall que se torna um espelho, ou uma janela, para o interior da sala em cuja entrada aguardamos.” S&A<br>
<br>
<strong>Sara & André</strong> são artistas plásticos. Nasceram em 1980 e 1979, em Lisboa, onde vivem e trabalham. Estudaram, respetivamente, Realização Plástica do Espetáculo na Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (Lisboa, 1999-2005) e Artes Plásticas na Escola Superior de Arte e Design (Caldas da Rainha 1999-2005). Juntos frequentaram Pintura na Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (Lisboa, 2008-2011). Expõem regularmente desde 2006. <br>
Realizaram e participaram em diversas exposições individuais e colectivas, em museus, galerias e espaços independentes tais como: 3+1 Arte Contemporânea (Lisboa); Armário (Lisboa); Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar (Lisboa); CAC Málaga (Málaga, Espanha); Centre del Carme (Valência, Espanha); Espacio Trapézio (Madrid, Espanha); Galería Bacelos (Madrid, Espanha); Galeria Baginski Projetos (Lisboa); Inflight (Hobart, Austrália); MAAT / Fundação EDP (Lisboa); Museu Coleção Berardo (Lisboa); Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (Lisboa); MNAC - Museu do Chiado (Lisboa); Museu da Cidade / Pavilhão Branco (Lisboa); Old School (Lisboa); OTR Espacio de Arte (Madrid, Espanha); PÊSSEGOpráSEMANA (Porto); Queen’s Nails Projects (São Francisco, EUA); Rosalux (Berlim, Alemanha) e The Mews Project Space (Londres, Reino Unido). Em 2017 comissariaram o ciclo de exposições Curated Curators, na Zaratan - Arte Contemporânea (Lisboa), do qual surgiu o livro "Uma Breve História da Curadoria" (Documenta, Lisboa, 2019). Estão representados em diversas coleções públicas e privadas.<br>

<em>"Fãs picks up a set of images collected in 2010 for an editorial project that never came to fruition, materializing now in the form of retro-lit photographic prints. To the original set of images, some new ones were added. It was from this new set that we selected the ones that we considered better, taking into account the current presentation format.<br>
There may be several interpretations of these photographs and we don’t want to add or withdraw possibilities, except for the most obvious one: a hall that becomes a mirror, or a window, into the room in whose entrance we wait."<br>

<br>
<em>Sara & André were born in 1980 and 1979, in Lisbon, where they live and work. They studied Stage Design at the School of Theatre and Cinema (Lisbon, 1999-2005), and Fine Arts at the School of Art and Design (Caldas da Rainha, 1999-2005), respectively.
