<span class="il">ARTES</span> apresenta <i>Colisão de Sonhos Reais em Universos Paralelos</i>,
 a primeira exposição individual do artista brasileiro Rodrigo Matheus 
em Portugal. Rodrigo Matheus utiliza materiais e objectos que podem ser 
encontrados em ambientes burocráticos. Ao transformar o significado, 
assim como a função dos objetos e espaços artificiais, com o fim de 
investigar a representação na <span class="il">arte</span>, Matheus 
questiona a relação desta com a natureza e a sua envolvente, e a sua 
associação ao design industrial. A exposição lida com a noção de espaço 
de transição, através da teoria dos universos paralelos onde os padrões 
se repetem infinitamente ao longo do tempo e do espaço.  De acordo com a
 teoria de clones cósmicos, um objecto não observado aparecerá em vários
 locais ao mesmo tempo, cada um destinado a tornar-se uma realidade no 
seu próprio universo paralelo. </h3>

<span class="il">ARTES</span> presents Dreams About Reality in a Single 
Universe, Brazilian artist Rodrigo Matheus’ first solo presentation in 
Portugal. Rodrigo Matheus uses materials that can be found in 
bureaucratic environments. Transforming the meaning and function of 
objects and artificial spaces in order to investigate representation in 
art, Matheus questions arts’ relationship to nature and its surrounding,
 and draws attention to its association with industrial design.  The 
exhibition deals with the notion of transitional space through the 
theory of Parallel Universes, where patterns are repeated infinitely 
over time and space. According to the theory  of cosmic clones, an 
unobserved object appears in several places at once, each one destined 
to become a reality in it’s own separate parallel universe.</h4>
