Neste trajecto videográfico, realizado por Fernando José Pereira, a omnipotência do som induz uma espessura que suplanta as imagens, como se as paisagens encobertas pelo nevoeiro ocultassem uma visualidade trágica. Planos opacos que irrompem ao longo do vídeo, cortes de fôlego que estabilizam a intensidade dramática que emerge sonoramente. Ouvimos, mas não vemos: um respirar, um rodar de uma chave, objectos arrastados, uma porta que se abre ou que se fecha.<br>O tempo passa, como nos evoca a voz, num eco omnisciente do narrador. O tempo passa e a tensão dramática adensa-se, inconclusiva, pois não existe desenlace neste ciclo temporal de um dia.<br>A violência permanece suspensa, sem vislumbre de factualidade, depositada unicamente no tempo que inexoravelmente passa. Não reside nas imagens nenhum indício claro da violência exercida sobre este prisioneiro. Somente o plano picado nos sugere a vulnerabilidade da sua condição, ao pretender subjugá-lo sob o nosso olhar. São, sim, as vozes do texto de Samuel Beckett[1] a tornar as imagens cúmplices da relação de poder instituída. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(20, 79, 174); "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline; Recebeu várias bolsas de estudo e investigação da Fundação Gulbenkian. Expõe regularmente em galerias (Graça Brandão e Marta Vidal do Porto, João Graça em Lisboa) e em várias instituições museológicas (Museu de Serralves, Porto; Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisboa; Museu do Chiado, Lisboa; Culturgest, Lisboa; Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra). Historiador, curador e crítico de arte, dirige desde 2007 o Museu do Neo-Realismo (V. F. Xira), onde faz curadoria de exposições de arte moderna e contemporânea, sendo responsável pelo ciclo “The Return of the Real”. Durante mais de dez anos, foi docente de História de Arte Contemporânea (IADE, em Lisboa, e na Escola das Artes da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto). Desde 1996, tem vindo a publicar artigos e ensaios sobre arte em catálogos, jornais (<i>Já</i></span>; <i>O Independente</i><span style="font-style: normal; ">) e revistas especializadas (</span><i>Arte Ibérica</i><span style="font-style: normal; ">; </span><i>Arq./a</i><span style="font-style: normal; ">;</span><i> Artecapital.net</i><span style="font-style: normal; ">).
