La liste n'est ni chronologique ni alphabétique. La police de caractères, la taille d'affichage et la vitesse de défilement permettent la lecture de chaque nom.</span></font></div><div><br></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" size="3"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 11px;">Le Grand Générique est une oeuvre d'art conçue pour être exposée sur écran de cinéma, sur écran TV, videoprojetée sur le mur ou affichée sur écran d'ordinateur, selon le contexte d'exposition. La scénographie renvoie toujours à l'univers du cinéma. Lors de ses expositions, le Grand Générique affiche en priorité les noms des personnes liées à la zone géographique et au contexte artistique de l'exposition. Il crée ainsi un lien miroir avec les spectateurs. Les noms sont affichés dans l'alphabet local et mis en forme selon les us de l'endroit et de l'époque.</span></font></div><div><br></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" size="3"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 11px;">Il est important que tout le monde soit nommé. Cette oeuvre technologique pérenne installée sur internet utilise tous les moyens disponibles pour effectivement lister les noms de tous les êtres humains. Par exemple, chaque exposition du Grand Générique est l'occasion de collecter la liste des noms des personnes liées à l'exposition. C'est à travers ces additions successives, ainsi que diverses autres collaborations individuelles ou administratives sur internet, que la base de données se construit au fur et à mesure. La logique de l'ordre d'affichage reflète ce processus de construction. Il a pour but de n'oublier personne et de se maintenir toujours à jour en incluant les nouvelles naissances. The scenography always refers to the world of cinema. When it is exhibited, the Full Cast displays in priority the names of the persons linked to the geographical zone and to the artistic context of the exhibition. It thus creates a mirroring link with the spectators. The names are displayed in the local alphabet and the graphic design matches the traditions of the place and times.</span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" size="3"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 11px;"><br></span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" size="3"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 11px;">It is important that everyone is named. This permanent technological artwork installed on internet uses all the possible means to effectively list the names of all the human beings. For example, each exhibition of the Full Cast is the occasion to collect the list of the names of the persons linked to the exhibition. It is through these successive additions, as well as various other individual or administrative collaborations on internet, that the database is incrementally built. The logic of the display order reflects this building process. Its goal is not to forget anyone and to be always up to date by including the new births.
