*Conversa com António Lago e Verónica Metello*
O percurso artístico de António Lago Através é abordado através de uma
apresentação de documentação visual de trabalhos prévios do artista em
formato mais expositivo. O diálogo entre os dois intervenientes dá-se de
forma a acedermos a um corpo de trabalho mais amplo e ao seu modo próprio
de reflexionar, investigar e criar.

*Bios *
António Lago é encenador, actor e performer. Iniciou o seu trabalho no
princípio da década de 90 potenciando novos discursos artísticos na área do
teatro e da performance criando novas plataformas como o Teatro Só, a Sala,
Ossos. Tem apresentado com regularidade projectos no campo das artes
performativas.
As temáticas que desenvolve possuem uma forte carga social e política. O
trabalho artístico é uma necessidade básica que desenvolve diariamente para
melhor compreender o mundo em que habita.

Verónica Metello é Historiadora de Arte e investigadora com um foco
específico na performance e performatividade, nas práticas relacionais de
produção de modalidades da experiência e estados perceptivos. Neste âmbito
desenvolveu o conceito Mecanismo-performance, e no presente trabalha o
universo conceptual e filosófico em torno do conceito Metodologias da
experiência. Foi responsável por uma primeira proposta de sistematização da
arte da performance em Portugal nos anos compreendidos entre 1961 e 1979.
Foi professora na Universidade Católica de Lisboa, na Universidade Nova de
Lisboa e no IADE. Colaborou com a Direção Geral das Artes onde criou a rede
de residências Arte e Ciência. Colabora desde 2007 com diversos projetos e
publicações no âmbito da performance portuguesa.

*Talk with António Lago and Verónica Metello The artistic journey of
António Lago is approached through a presentation of visual documentation
of previous works by the artist in a more expository format. The dialogue
between him and the invited Verónica Metello takes place in order to gain
access to a broader body of work and to his own way of reflecting,

António Lago is a director, actor and performer. He began his work at the
beginning of the 90s, promoting new artistic discourses in the area of
theater and performance creating new platforms such as Teatro Só, Sala,
Ossos. He has regularly presented projects in the field of performing arts.
The themes that it develops have a strong social and political load.
Artistic work is a basic necessity that you develop daily to better
understand the world in which you live. Verónica Metello is an Art
Historian and researcher with a specific focus on performance and
performativity, on the relational practices of the production of modalities
of experience and perceptual states. In this scope she developed the
Mechanism-performance concept, and nowadays she works the conceptual and
philosophical universe around the methodologies of experience. She was
responsible for a first proposal of systematization of the performance art
in Portugal that happened between 1961 and 1979. She taught at the Catholic
University of Lisbon, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and at the IADE.
She collaborated with the Direção Geral das Artes where she created the
network of Art and Science residences. And also she has collaborated since
2007 with many projects and publications regarding the portuguese
performance. *
