Claudia Fischer – Closer to Home
Closer to Home faz parte de um projecto de investigação que explora os conceitos de periferia, lidando com a nossa percepção do mundo enquanto uma grelha de paralelos e de meridianos. O espectador transforma-se em viajante, movimentando-se entre o familiar e o estranho, entre o eu e o outro, numa relação recíproca em que a identidade é constantemente reinventada.

A convite do Goethe-Institut Portugal, Sandra Vieira Jürgens seleccionou quatro artistas portugueses – André Alves, Claudia Fischer, Paulo Mendes e Pedro Portugal – para desenvolverem o projecto artístico português na Streaming Egos, iniciativa que tem como objectivo questionar, através de um olhar artístico, de que forma as nossas identidades se multiplicam e transformam no mundo digital e as implicações destas mudanças para a nossa representatividade real e imaginária. Os projectos destes artistas estão pensados de raiz para serem apresentados em ambiente online, através da plataforma raum: residências artísticas online. 

Streaming Egos é um projecto organizado pelo Goethe-Institut, em cooperação com o Slow Media Institut de Bona e o NRW-Forum de Düsseldorf, que envolve seis países europeus – Alemanha, Bélgica, Espanha, França, Itália e Portugal. O projecto conta com a curadoria geral de Sabria David e com um co-curador nacional que convida artistas, criadores e autores de várias áreas a criar obras de arte e peças digitais sobre a questão da(s) identidade(s) digital(s).

Uma plataforma digital, disponível em http://blog.goethe.de/streamingegos/, com componentes da social web, possibilita o intercâmbio e a participação de todos os intervenientes e dos utilizadores.

Claudia Fischer – Closer to Home
Closer to Home is part of the research project investigating concepts of peripheria and deals with our perception of the world as a grid of parallels and meridians. The viewer becomes something of a traveller, moving between the familiar and the strange, and between the self and the other, a reciprocal relationship in which identity is constantly reinvented.

At the invitation of the Goethe Institute Portugal, curator Sandra Vieira Jürgens selected four Portuguese artists – André Alves, Claudia Fischer, Paulo Mendes and Pedro Portugal – to work on the Portuguese Streaming Egos project, an initiative which aims to question the way in which our identifies are multiplied and transformed in the digital world, and the implications of these changes for our real and imagined representativeness. The contributions of these artists are designed from the outset to be presented in an online environment using the raum: online artist residencies platform. 

Streaming Egos is a project organised by the Goethe Institute in cooperation with the Slow Media Institute in Bonn and the NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf, involving six European countries: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. The project is curated by Sabria David in conjunction with a co-curator in each country who invites artists, creatives and authors from a wide range of fields to conceive works of art and digital creations on the topic of digital identity(ies).

Participation and interaction among all contributors and users is made possible by an online platform with social web components, accessible at http://blog.goethe.de/streamingegos/.
