Pedro Tudela (Viseu, 1962) trabalha, desde a década de 80, o registo da performance muitas vezes associado à criação de esculturas sonoras. Em Transparente/Opaco, o artista propõe uma instalação que não se altera visualmente, mas que ao longo do tempo/ação revela uma progressiva e significativa alteração/mutação sonora. Os micro sons, que tanto resultam da manipulação como da indução, vão sendo processados. Sofrem, por isso, alterações que acabam por se revelar como um outro corpo, com um outro tamanho, num outro espaço que se distancia do que visivelmente apreendemos desde o início. A imagem mantém a sua forma mas o som e o espaço alteram o seu aspeto e relação inicial. Será realizado registo de som e imagem durante a performance.

Since the 1980s, Pedro Tudela (Viseu, 1962) has produced a kind of performance that is often linked to the creation of sound sculptures. In “Trasnparente/Opaco” [Transparent/Opaque], the artist offers an installation that remains visually unchanged but whose sounds undergo progressive and significant changes/mutations over time. Micro-sounds, the result of both manipulation and induction, are subjected to processing. As a result of the changes, the sounds end up revealing themselves with a different body, a different size, in a different space that is far from what was visually apprehended at the start. The image maintains its shape, but the sound and the space change both their appearance and the initial relationship to the viewer. A sound and image recording will be made during the performance.
