[ARENA] Elsevier Publishing Boycott

Aqui (como em todo o lado) a mesma ditadura de um certo modelo de mercado
face ao qual é urgente criar alternativas. No contexto científico, há hoje
uma espécie de rating que define as “regras do jogo” em bases fortemente
discutíveis sobretudo para a produção no campo artístico.


Não por acaso, voltei a um texto de John Campbell, “The Names of
Economics”, publicado nos anos 70. Campbell, na altura coordenador do
Departamento de Economia da Universidade de Cornell, decidiu suspender
todos os cursos e programas educativos, pondo a funcionar, em seu lugar, um
seminário contínuo, criando um processo de emancipação no qual o
conhecimento seria produzido.


O confronto com formas de regulação autoritárias, abusivas e, na maior
parte dos casos, desajustadas (porque ignorantes) parece-me urgente.
