FILE 2011 - CALL FOR ENTRIES

FILE - Electronic Language International Festival has opened registrations for its 12th edition, which will happen in the Art Gallery of Ruth Cardoso Cultural Center - SESI/SP, from July 18 to August 28, 2011. Registrations are open from January 10 to March 01, 2011. Registration is free and is open to professionals, researchers and students of electronic language in an international scope.

In the last 11 years, FILE has shown what goes on in the global networks related to digital and electronic arts, constituting a reference in the study and research of new media. It has exhibited works of webart, netart, artificial life, hypertext, computerized animation, real-time teleconference, virtual reality, soft art, besides games, interactive films, e-videos, digital panoramas, and installations of electronic art and robotics, through interactive and immersive rooms.

One of the novelties of this year's Festival is the change in registrations. In order to follow the evolution in the digital and technological world, starting from this year registrations will only be made online. The Registration Form will be sent together with the work, through FILE's website.

Another novelty this year is that, besides the registrations for the exhibition in São Paulo, FILE will receive from January 10 to March 01 2011, proposals for participation in the cycle of lectures of Symposium 2011, and for Workshops 2011, events that will happen simultaneously with the FILE 2011 exhibition in São Paulo.

FILE SYMPOSIUM has become a meeting point in the city of São Paulo, proposing debates on digiltal-electronic culture in its relations with art, science and technology.
